What a Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative (CSR) does:

CSR’s at RJH fill an important and necessary role for the RJH team to succeed! In this role, you act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information. On a daily basis, some of what you will be doing is:

  • Receive customer emergency and non-emergency calls and record all significant information

  • Address problems and requests by transmitting information to a fellow dispatcher or upper Management or by providing solutions.

  • Receive, prioritize and dispatch service calls to technicians

  • Monitor the location and route of field units to coordinate and prioritize the schedule

  • Enter data in the system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information

  • Assemble technician call schedule for the next workday

  • Work with employees to generate calls/work for technicians

  • Complete end-of-day procedures with technicians to ensure all the pertinent information is recorded

  • Gather all essential information to ensure accurate billing/invoice information

  • Use multiple software systems to closeout and generate invoices

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • A high school diploma

  • Minimum 2 years of customer relations/dispatch experience in a professional service industry

  • Experience in the HVACR Industry preferred, not required

  • The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong Computer literacy: dispatchers you are responsible for keying information into various computers and software programs

  • Robust people skills: a polite and professional demeanor when working with other companies, as well as consumers and coworkers

  • Attentive to details and extremely thorough
